We have created a new intranet for as a new employee communication tool for staff of Eagle County. We have called it ecoNET, your best source for employee news and information.
We created this using an opensource ColdFusion CMS called FarCry. This is an excellent CMS for those running ColdFusion on a liminted budget. It was perfect for this internal portal.
Features include:

• Searchable employee directory from the homepage - This draws information from the Windows Active Directory and filters the database as people type in their search criteria via department, last name or first name. This is a very user-friendly application indeed. 
• Ajax tabs on the homepage to reveal a great deal of information without cluttering the page.
• Commissioner Blogs - Each commissioner has their own blog
• ecoSale - a separate application where employees can advertise items for sale.
• Live streaming video from the county TV station
• As well as all the usual employee news and events, benefit information, messages from HR, incentives, important forms and initiatives within the county.

We are really proud of this website as it is a valuable resource to the county and its employees
